How can we help?

Once you have opened an account with Stake, you can get additional bonus stock by inviting friends, family and contacts to join us. Share your unique referral code, which you can find on your Stake Rewards hub or through More > Profile on the Stake app, or Menu > Get rewards on web.

How does it work on Wall St?

When friends use your referral code to open a Stake Wall St account and then fund it, you’ll get a randomly selected stock in Nike, Dropbox or GoPro.

Their funding doesn’t have a 24-hour limit to earn you a referral reward, but if they wait longer, they’ll miss out on their starter stock described above. So you can encourage them to fund sooner rather than later for their benefit. Just make sure they use your unique referral code during signup.

Sharing

Sharing your referral code is super easy. Simply head to your Rewards Hub on the Stake app or desktop, and share your unique code from there via text, messaging app, social media and more. You can also copy it to paste wherever you’d like.

Managing referrals and claiming stock

All information regarding pending and available stock rewards is available through the Account tab in your Stake account.

We’ll keep you informed along the way, including reminders if someone has signed up with your code but hasn’t funded their account yet (so you can give them a nudge if you’d like). We’ll send a confirmation once each referral reward can be claimed.

Please note that rewarded stock can take 1-2 business days to be credited to your account. For any issues with referrals and free stock, please contact our support team.

How does it work on AUS?

Once you have opened an account with Stake, you can unlock ASX brokerage discounts by referring your friends and family to the platform. 

For each person who signs up to Stake AUS using your unique referral code, you’ll receive $1 off your brokerage for a year (capped at 10 trades per month). 

How does it work? 

When someone uses your unique code to open a Stake AUS account and then fund their account, you’ll get a year of discounted brokerage. 

Their funding doesn’t have a 24-hour limit to earn you a referral reward, but if they wait longer, they’ll miss out on their welcome reward of A$10 buying power. So you can encourage them to fund sooner rather than later for their benefit. Just make sure they use your unique referral code during signup.

These discounts can accumulate to give you A$2 off your brokerage if you refer two people, or $3 for three people, while the discount periods overlap. This could effectively mean free ASX brokerage on trades up to A$30k. Please note this promotion is only available for Stake AUS individual accounts.

What happens if I refer more than three people to Stake AUS?

If you bring more than three people to Stake AUS within a 12-month period, you’ll be able to ‘bank’ up the eligibility for additional brokerage discounts at the expiry of the earliest ending referral reward. 

For example, suppose you refer four people throughout calendar year 2024 as follows:

• Friend #1 is referred and funds their Stake AUS account on 31 January 2024.
• Friend #2 is referred and funds their Stake AUS account on 30 March 2024.
• Friend #3 is referred and funds their Stake AUS account on 30 April 2024.
• Friend #4 is referred and funds their Stake AUS account on 30 July 2024.

The $1 discount will apply as normal and accumulate as Friends #1, #2 and #3 fund their accounts – which means that from 30 April 2024, you’d be getting $3 off brokerage on up to ten $0 brokerage ASX trades/month. 

When Friend #4 funds their account, an additional $1 brokerage discount gets banked in your Stake AUS account, to be automatically applied at the expiry of Friend #1’s discounted brokerage period on 31 January 2025. This would keep the $3 discount going until 30 March 2023, when it would come down to $2 as another 12-month period ends (for Friend #2’s referral).

Please note that brokerage discounts are valid for 12 months from the date a referral makes a qualified deposit into a new Stake AUS account. For any issues with referrals and brokerage discounts, please contact our support team.
