Brokerage fees cover the costs/commissions associated with executing a trade on behalf of investors – a process that can include a number of entities, systems and partners besides the broker. As a standard practice across share markets, brokerage fees are often expressed as a percentage of the value of a trade, as a flat fee, or a combination of the two.

BPS stands for basis points, a unit of measurement that defines a percentage change <1% in a financial instrument such as a fee or interest rate. One basis point represents 0.01% of a given instrument or rate. Learn more about FX and BPS fees.

Stake Wall St has a 70 bps FX fee for deposits and withdrawals. So, if the official exchange rate for AUD/USD is 0.75, the resulting rate for a deposit would be 0.743 (0.750 - 0.007). A withdrawal would work inversely with USD/AUD being 0.757 (0.750 + 0.007).

Our only fee per trade is our brokerage fee: $3 brokerage for trades up to $30,000, or 0.01% on trades above $30,000 (in AUD for Stake AUS and USD for Stake Wall St). There's no FX fee per trade, only for Stake Wall St deposits and withdrawals.
