As a former commsec user, I love how easy the app is to navigate and with ASX now available switching between markets is easy.
I've never written an App review before, but Stake really has continued to wow me.
I started using Stake for US trading, and recently (very easily) transferred my ASX portfolio across to utilise the cheap trades.
Switched from nabtrade. Much better experience. Far cheaper.
A well designed and easy to use app to trade on the USA and AUS markets.

Bring stocks to Stake to invest in over 6,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs, with as little as $10 thanks to fractional shares. Plus, when you transfer your U.S. portfolio over $500, you get a free Dropbox stock. With Stake, you’ll pay US$3 brokerage for trades up to US$30,000, or 0.01% on trades above US$30,000, and no FX fees per trade on U.S. shares. You can seamlessly switch to Stake AUS, buying Australian stocks for just A$3 brokerage for trades up to $30,000, or 0.01% on trades above A$30,000.
Transfers to Stake via ACATS are free, check with your broker as they may charge processing fees, based on the type of transfer they support. Tranfers via DTC costs US$ 35 per position - charged by our broker-dealer, Drivewealth, but we rebate 100% fee for a minimum of US$ 3,000 per position or the equivalent in portfolio value. Eg. Total Portfolio Value/No. of Positions = US$ 3,000.
The transfer time varies based on how responsive your current broker is. DTC transfers can take up to 4-6 weeks and ACATS transfers can take up to 1-2 weeks.
Note that shares in your outgoing account must settle before being transferred. If they have not, please wait 2 trading days from your most recent buy/sell transaction before initiating a request. Otherwise there may be a delay in the transfer process.
Since the shares are just being transferred between brokers, this is not a taxable event as the investments are not being sold.
You’ve already got the US portfolio, so once it’s transferred across to Stake, you can manage your investing as per usual.
