ASX share certificates
Do I receive an ASX Share Certificate?
When you trade on the ASX, you will receive a statement to advise you of the movement of shares to your Holder Identification Number (HIN). These Share Certificates are referred to as CHESS Holding Statements.
The ASX and issuers will send you notices when you register or trade. These CHESS Holding Statements are sent out by the share registry at the end of the month when you buy a security or if there is a change to a security you hold. If multiple securities change (are bought, sold etc), you’ll receive individual CHESS Holding Statements for each security.
You have the option to receive these statements electronically rather than via post.
Simply head to More on App > Settings > ASX letters
(or Menu > Account > Trade settings > ‘Aus registry letters’ if you’re on desktop) > Email.
