How long does it take for a bank transfer to appear in my Stake AUS account?

The time it takes for a bank transfer to reflect in your Stake AUS account depends on your bank's participation in the New Payments Platform (NPP):

  • Banks on the New Payments Platform (NPP) - Funds typically appear in your Stake AUS account within 5-15 minutes.
  • Banks not on the New Payments Platform (NPP) - Transfers from these banks generally take 1-2 business days to process and appear in your account.

Considerations

  • For your initial transfer via Osko, banks commonly implement a one-business-day hold on the payment. Subsequent Osko transfers, once the initial hold is cleared and funds are confirmed as received by Stake, should be instantaneous.
  • Please be aware that external compliance checks, in accordance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) legislation, may occasionally cause minor delays.

Wall St funding speed

When funding your Stake Wall St account, you have control over the speed of your deposits and currency-to-currency transfers. The settlement timeframes for each option are as follows:

  • Regular: Funds are credited to your Wall St account on a T+1 basis (one US business day) after Stake confirms the initiation of your deposit.
  • FastFunds: This option provides instant credit of funds as buying power to your Wall St account immediately after Stake confirms the initiation of your deposit or transfer. Please note that a 0.5% surcharge applies for this expedited service.

It’s important to note that while these funds should be available to trade, they won’t be available to withdraw or count towards your balance for Pattern Day Trading exemptions.


How long do internal transfers take to arrive in my Stake account balance?

When transferring funds between your Stake AUS and Stake Wall St balances, you have two distinct options:

  • Regular: Funds are credited to your Wall St account on a T+1 basis (one US business day) after Stake confirms the initiation of your transfer.
  • FastFunds: This method ensures funds are instantly credited to your account as buying power upon Stake's confirmation of the initiated transfer. A 0.5% surcharge applies to this faster funding method.

Please note that funds will only become available for withdrawal or further transfer once the underlying deposit has been fully cleared and reconciled in our main facility account. This reconciliation process typically takes between 1-2 business days.

Rewards

Do I get a reward for my first deposit on Stake Wall St?

To claim a starter stock, simply make a first deposit of at least A$50 into your Stake Wall St account within 24 hours of opening it. You’ll then be able to claim a Nike, Dropbox, or GoPro stock on us – yours will be selected at random. For the 24-hour deadline, what counts is the moment you submit the deposit, not when the funds arrive.

Do I get a reward for my first deposit on Stake AUS?

When you open an individual Stake AUS account and make an eligible deposit within the first 24 hours, you’ll receive an additional A$10 of buying power to get you started. To claim your credit, simply deposit at least A$50 into your Stake AUS account within 24 hours of opening it. For the 24-hour deadline, what counts is the moment you submit the deposit, not when the funds arrive.

The bonus A$10 buying power cannot be directly withdrawn and is subject to the Stake AUS Terms and Conditions.


Things to consider:

  • Stake does not support third-party deposits. This is following our Terms & Conditions and Anti-Money Laundering obligations. Please ensure that the full name on the remitting account precisely matches the full name on your Stake account.

  • Stake does not support BPAY, international wires, in-person branch transfers (i.e. Cash Deposits), or cheque payment methods.

  • Stake doesn't support direct USD funding at this moment in time. All deposits to your Stake account must be initiated in the local currency of the region in which your designated account was set up.
