Does Stake charge inactivity fees?
No â Stake does not charge inactivity fees nor account keeping fees, regardless of your portfolio size, cash balance or how long youâve been away from the platform. You can take a break from investing anytime without worrying about extra charges.
How to close your Stake account
To close your Stake account, your balance must be completely cleared â this means no securities or cash in the account and no funds owing.
Once your balance is cleared, follow these steps:
In the app
Log in to Stake
Go to Manage > Account > Account details
At the bottom of the screen, tap Close account
Follow the prompts
On desktop
Log in to Stake
Head to your Profile, located on the top-right side(it will be displayed as the first letter of your account name)
Select Accounts
At the bottom of the screen in the right corner, select âClose accountâ
Follow the promptsÂ
What happens next?
Once you request account closure, your account will enter a 14-day pending closure state.
You can reopen your account during this time by simply signing in
If you sign in, youâll need to restart the closure process
After 14 days of inactivity, your account will be permanently closed
Important to know
Download any reports or documents you may need before closing your account â you wonât be able to access them once the account is closed
After closure, you'll no longer have access to historical trades, funding or reporting
Weâll unsubscribe you from marketing and platform-related emails once the process is complete
Some legally required emails may still be sent
Stake may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. All data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
