We provide a trading platform for our customers to trade stocks on certain U.S. and Australian stock exchanges (including Cboe and the ASX), however Stake itself is not a direct participant on the stock exchanges. Instead we have partnered with reputable and experienced licensed brokers to provide these services to you.
For Stake AUS, we have partnered with FinClear Execution Ltd (AFSL no. 246842) who execute our customers’ trades on Australian listed exchanges. FinClear Execution Ltd is an ASX Market Participant. On Stake AUS, customers’ Australian shares are held under the customers’ own Holder Identification Numbers (HIN) on the CHESS subregister. You can read more about HINs and the CHESS subregister here. The AUD funds of Stake AUS customers are held by our licensee, Stakeshop AFSL Pty Ltd, on trust in a client money account at an Australian bank in compliance with Australian law.
For Stake Wall St, we have partnered with DriveWealth LLC who provides execution (itself and via its affiliate DriveWealth Institutional LLC), clearance, settlement, custody and cashiering services to Stake customers.
