Regulation and licensing 

Stake is a Registered Financial Services Provider under the Financial Services Providers Act 2008 (No. FSP774414). While Stake is not the direct offeror of U.S. securities in New Zealand; we facilitate trades that are executed by DriveWealth, a U.S.-regulated broker-dealer.

Stakeshop is authorised as a Financial Advice Provider (Class 1) by the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) in New Zealand. However, the content on the Stake website has not been prepared with your individual objectives, needs or financial situation taken into account. Should you require specific advice or further information about the relevant New Zealand legislation that may apply, please contact your legal and/or financial advisor (as appropriate).

Dispute resolution

Stake is a member of the FSCL dispute resolution scheme in New Zealand and registered on the FSPR. Please refer to Section 37 of our Terms and Conditions for more information on how you can contact FSCL. As Stake customers enter into our agreement with our broker-dealer partner DriveWealth from signup, you’ll also have access to their dispute resolution processes.
