Stake first funding reward
When you open a Stake Wall St account and make an eligible deposit within the first 24 hours, you'll be able to claim a U.S. stock to get you started.
How does it work?
To claim a starter stock, simply make a first deposit of at least NZ$50 into your Stake Wall St account within 24 hours of opening it. You’ll then be able to claim a Nike, Dropbox or GoPro stock on us – yours will be selected at random. For the 24-hour deadline, what counts is the moment you make the transfer, not when the funds arrive.
Things to note
- You cannot claim multiple free stocks through multiple accounts. Only one starter stock per person.
- Bonus stock is only available when you fund through Stake (on the app or desktop) and does not apply if you make a direct USD deposit or transfer funds along with a portfolio transfer.
- Once eligible, you can elect to claim a bonus stock or not. By claiming yours, you agree to the Stake Wall St Rewards Terms and Conditions.
- Please note that, once claimed in the rewards section, the free stock takes 2-3 business days to appear in your account.

Claiming stock
All information regarding pending and available stock rewards is available through the Rewards tab in your Stake account.
We’ll keep you informed along the way, including reminders if someone has signed up with your code but hasn’t funded their account yet (so you can give them a nudge if you’d like). We’ll send a confirmation once each referral reward can be claimed.
Please note that rewarded stock can take 2-3 business days to be credited to your account. For any issues with rewards, please contact our support team.
