Your Stake deposit details are unique to you, so you don’t need to include a payment description or reference.
You can save Stake as a payee in your banking app so the details are ready for future transfers. Make sure all transfers come from a bank account held in your name. The minimum deposit is AU$10. If you try to deposit less than that, it should be returned to your bank within 2 business days.
Set up a scheduled transfer
You can use your Stake deposit details to set up a recurring transfer through your bank.
Make sure the scheduled transfer comes from your linked bank account, which must be held in your name.
Deposits that haven’t arrived
Most bank transfer deposits arrive quickly. However, some may take up to two business days, particularly when:
- it is your first deposit;
- your bank processes payments in batches; or
- the payment is undergoing a security check.
We’ll notify you when your funds arrive.
If it’s been more than two business days, first check with your bank to confirm the transfer hasn’t been delayed, placed on hold or selected for a security check. If your bank confirms the funds have been sent, contact Stake Support and include proof of payment so we can investigate.
What is proof of payment?
Proof of payment is a screenshot or receipt from your banking app that shows:
- the transfer amount;
- the transfer date;
- the account the funds were sent from; and
- the account the funds were sent to.
Providing proof of payment helps us locate and track your deposit.
Are the BSB and account number shown in the app mine?
The BSB and account number shown in Stake are unique to you and are only used to add money to your Stake account. They’re not a regular transaction account for everyday banking – they simply receive and hold your trading funds, with each transfer matched to you.
