We've updated the minimum operating system requirements for the Stake app.
What changed?
The Stake app now requires iOS 16 or Android 12 as a minimum. If your device is running an older OS, the app won't work.
Why did this change?
Older operating systems stop receiving security updates over time, which makes them harder to support safely. Moving to newer OS versions lets us keep the Stake app secure, improve performance and roll out new features.
What do I need to do?
Check your device's current OS version. If you're already on iOS 16+ or Android 12+, nothing changes for you.
If you're on an older version and your device supports an upgrade:
- iPhone: Settings → General → Software Update
- Android: Settings → System → Software Update
Once updated, the app will work as normal. Your account is completely unaffected.
What if I can't upgrade my device?
No problem. You can still access your full Stake account via our web trading platform on a desktop or laptop browser at trading.hellostake.com.
Does this affect my investments or account?
Not at all. Your account, portfolio and funds are safe.
