Holder identification number (HIN) information
ausWhere do I find my HIN?
You can view your HIN at any time in the Stake app or on the web:
In the app
Go to Manage
Tap Profile
Your HIN is under the Personal details tab
On web
Click your profile icon (the first letter of your name)
Select Overview
Go to Accounts to view your HIN
Why is my HIN not working on the share registry?
- It's common to end up with more than one HIN if you have opened accounts with different CHESS-sponsored brokers, changed legal name or entity structures. Check that you are using the correct HIN associated with your Stake account
- Your HIN may not be fully created yet. Even if one appears on the app, it may not be recognised by the registries until it is formally settled and activated. If you have only just opened your Stake account, this can take a few days
- If you haven't bought any ASX-listed shares yet, the HIN will be empty until your first trade settles. This will normally occur within 5-7 business days
- If you're transferring from another broker, your shares will be transferred after the HIN is active. Your shares will not automatically appear until they are transferred to your Stake HIN.
