Stake launches ‘The Ambition Project’: Championing Ambition and Backing Bold Aussies in partnership with Man of Many

Australian investment platform Stake has launched the Ambition Project, an initiative that directly funds Australians’ personal goals, backing their next big thing with more than words.

Sydney, Australia, 9 December 2025 – Australian investment platform Stake has launched the Ambition Project, an initiative that directly funds Australians’ personal goals, backing their next big thing with more than words.

The Ambition Project builds on Onwards, Stake’s brand platform launched in 2024, and signals the next evolution of the company’s mission. More than a message, this is a movement. One designed to fight tall poppy syndrome and fuel a culture of confidence, ambition and momentum.

“Stake has always been about empowering people to go further,” said Matt Leibowitz, CEO and Founder at Stake. “We want to cultivate ambition in Australia. One way is by offering the best investment opportunities in market. But another is by genuinely investing in bold Australians. Through the Ambition Project, we’re recognising local stories and in turn, inspiring Australians to take their next step.”

The Ambition Project is a rally cry to go for more, and a call to action for the next generation of trailblazers.

“Our investing platform gives our community leverage to chase their goals and achieve big things,” said Bryan Wilmot, Chief Customer Officer at Stake. “Far from being the laid-back larrikin, Australians are stepping into a new identity, one that is ambitious and driven, across fields. We want to champion that shift not just in finance but in life and help make ambition the norm, not the exception.”

For the inaugural Ambition Project, Stake invested in three protagonists whose stories celebrate ambition, drive, and the determination to push onwards. To launch the project, Stake tapped leading publisher Man of Many to produce a three-part documentary series, supported by a premium content hub:

  • Laura Enever, world champion surfer turned big wave record holder, backed by Stake to bring her next big wave documentary to life.

  • Big Sam Young, whose grit and resilience have shaped his meteoric culinary rise. Stake is unlocking an expansion of the outdoor experience at Young’s Palace.

  • FANGZ, Sydney punk band carving out their place in the music landscape on their own terms. Fuelled by Stake to take their music overseas on a U.S. tour.

Alex Martinez, Media Sales and Brand Partnerships at Man of Many, added, “We set out to tell stories of perseverance and purpose. The series captures what it truly means to push onwards, fuelled by passion, defined by determination, and united by ambition. It’s powerful storytelling that perfectly aligns with Stake’s mission.”

“Man of Many is a rising force in the Australian media landscape,” said Robbie Benadie, Demand Creation Specialist at Fourteen10. “Their position as a leading cultural voice makes them a natural partner for this launch. By tapping into their storytelling expertise, we’re able to amplify Stake’s mindset nationwide and bring our message to life beyond traditional channels.”

Investing in the Next Big Thing

Stake exists to break barriers between ambition and financial progress and through the Ambition Project, Stake invested in Enever, Young, and FANGZ, empowering them to get started on their next thing. Now Stake is backing ambitious Australians with ten thousand dollars to inspire action, no strings attached.

To apply, participants simply need to share their ambition on social media, tagging @hellostake. By vocalising their goals and inviting their community in, they take the first step – and Stake helps them take the next.

Ambition Project applications are live now until 11:59PM AEDT Friday 13 March 2026. T&Cs apply.
