We're trialling digital gift cards, or Stock shouts, for a limited time only. Here’s how they work:
You shout
Go to our partner Shouta via the link below and purchase a Stock shout. Enter the recipient’s details, the amount and your message.
They receive
Your friend gets an email and SMS from Shouta to register and claim your gift card, provided as Shouta Mastercard details.
Time to fund
They go to Stake and fund their account via Card Funding. If new to Stake, they’ll just need to sign up first – give them your referral code!

Stake Gift Card FAQs
You can load your gift card with any amount between A$50 and A$250.
The digital gift card reaches the recipient with the full amount you purchase – no fees are deducted. When it’s time to fund their Stake account, the regular Card Funding fee of 0.5% will apply.
At this time we only have digital gift cards, available for purchase through Shouta. But for the future, going physical is definitely on the cards! No pun intended.
Stock shouts are another name for the digital gift cards available through our partnership with Shouta, redeemable only on the Stake platform. Learn more about Stock shouts here.
Though you can only buy them until 31 January 2023 (unless sold out prior), Stock shouts are valid for three years from the activation date. Any unused balance after this period will expire. T&Cs apply.
Add your full name to the 'Name on card' section, when using the card funding method to receive your Stock shout.
After downloading Shouta and registering, your friend or family member can open the Card section and ‘Display card number’. This will reveal card details like a regular Mastercard, which can be inserted into Stake’s Card Funding deposit method. They won’t work anywhere else.
Yes, if your gift recipient is new to Stake, have them sign up with your unique referral code. When they fund their new account using your gift card, you’ll get a reward. If they fund Stake Wall St, you’ll get a free U.S. stock. If they fund Stake AUS, you’ll get $1 off ASX brokerage.
