It’s official. Rocket Lab is landing on the Nasdaq. The Kiwi satellite company is expected to merge with Vector Acquisition Corp following the August 20 AGM.
What is Rocket Lab?
Founded in New Zealand in 2016, Rocket Lab is a Kiwi success story. The company manufacturers and launches commercial rockets and satellites into space. So far, the company has launched over 100 rockets, a number which will grow as the sector sees more demand. In 2020, a record 1,283 satellites were launched. Over halfway into 2021, that number has already been matched. It’s estimated that the global satellite industry generated US$271b in revenue in 2020.
Rocket Lab is expected to complete a reverse merger with Vector Acquisition Corp after shareholders approved the transaction during a general meeting on August 20.
How to access?
Vector Acquisition Corp (VACQ) is live and accessible on Stake. On August 20 2021, $VACQ shareholders will vote on the merger. Should it pass, the name and ticker will change to RocketLab (RKLB) on the Stake platform as early as August 25.
