New BSB and account numbers

We’re making it simpler to move money in and out of Stake.
Your BSB and account numbers are changing
We’re making it simpler to move money in and out of Stake.
From 13 October 2026, we’ll begin rolling out new BSB and account numbers, dedicated PayIDs and a new linked account experience. These changes will give you more ways to fund your Stake account, while helping make deposits and withdrawals more secure.
Here’s what’s changing and what you need to do.
What’s changing?
Stake is taking ownership of the systems that manage money movements, supported by leading banking providers including JP Morgan and NAB. As part of this change, Airwallex Pty Ltd will no longer be Stake’s digital wallet provider.
You’ll receive:
New BSB and account numbers for your Stake account
Dedicated PayIDs, so you can fund using PayID
The ability to link a single external bank account in your name for connected deposits and withdrawals
We’ve also updated our Terms and Conditions to reflect these changes.
When is this happening?
13 October 2026: New BSB and account numbers, plus PayIDs, will begin rolling out to customers. We’ll let you know when yours are ready.
27 January 2027: Your old BSB and account numbers will no longer accept deposits. Any funds sent to them will be returned to the original account, which can take up to 10 business days.
What do I need to do?
Once your new details are available:
- Find them in the Stake app by heading to Balances
- Update any saved Stake details in your banking app or payment contacts
- Use your new PayID, BSB and account number for future transfers to Stake
- Link one external bank account in your name for connected deposits and withdrawals
You’ll be able to set up your linked account in a few moments in the Stake app.
Why do I need to link a bank account?
Linking one bank account helps keep money moving securely between your bank and Stake.
It also makes deposits and withdrawals smoother by ensuring funds move through an account in your name. You’ll need to use this linked account for future deposits and withdrawals.
What if I’ve already sent money using my old details?
Your old details will continue working until 27 January, 2027. After this date, they will no longer work and you may experience delays in receiving your money back if you continue to use your old details.
We’ll let you know if you’ve used your old details, so you can update them before they retire. You can find your new details at any time in the Stake app.
Can I fund using PayID?
Yes. Once your new details have been rolled out, you’ll be able to use your dedicated PayID to fund your Stake account.
Are my Stake account or investments changing?
No. This change only affects how money moves into and out of Stake.
Your Stake account, investments and access to the platform aren’t changing.
Why is Stake making this change?
These updates give you another convenient way to fund your account and support faster, smoother and more secure money movements.
They’re part of a broader upgrade to Stake’s banking infrastructure, with JP Morgan and NAB supporting the new experience, with even more improvements coming soon.
