BlackRock Multi-Sector Income Trust (the Trust) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Trust's investment objective is to provide high current income, with a secondary objective of capital appreciation. The Trust seeks to achieve its investment objectives by investing at least 80% of its assets in loan and debt instruments and other investments with similar economic characteristics. The Trust has investments in various sectors, such as oil, gas, and consumable fuels; real estate investment trusts; auto components; airlines; automobiles; banks; beverages; biotechnology; building products; chemicals; electric utilities; communications equipment; consumer finance; diversified telecommunication services; food products; information technology (IT) services; hotels, restaurants, and leisure; consumer discretionary; communications equipment; health care services, and media.
