In addition, the Company is conducting a proprietary drug development program which is comprised of K1.1 mRNA, an mRNA-Lipid Nanoparticle targeted for liver cancer, and PLpro protease inhibitor, a small molecule for the treatment of SARS Coronavirus infections. The Company operates through two segments: Prescription Generic Pharmaceuticals (Generic Pharmaceuticals) and Nonprescription Over-The-Counter Products (OTC Products). The Company operates two wholly owned subsidiaries: Nora Pharma Inc., which has a portfolio of pharmaceutical products consisting of various prescription drugs on the market in Canada, and Sunshine Biopharma Canada Inc., which develops and sells nonprescription over-the-counter (OTC) products.
