iShares Russell 1000 ETF (the Fund), formerly iShares Russell 1000 Index Fund, is an exchange-traded fund (ETF). The Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance of the Russell 1000 Index (the Index). The Index is a float-adjusted capitalization weighted index that measures the performance of the large-capitalization sector of the United States equity market and includes securities issued by the approximately 1,000 largest issuers in the Russell 3000 Index. The Fund invests in a representative sample of securities included in the Index that collectively has an investment profile similar to the Index. The Index is a subset of the Russell 3000 Index and serves as the underlying index for the Russell 1000 Growth and Value Indices, and the Russell Top 200 and MidCap series. BlackRock Fund Advisors (BFA) serves as the investment adviser to the Fund.
