About HIO
Western Asset High Income Opportunity Fund Inc. (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund seeks high current income. Capital appreciation is a secondary objective. In seeking to fulfill its investment objectives, the Fund invests, under normal market conditions, at least 80% of its net assets in high-yield securities and up to 20% in common stock equivalents, including options, warrants and rights. The Fund invests in sectors, such as consumer cyclical, communications, energy, finance, consumer non-cyclical, transportation, EM government, capital goods, and other. The Fund’s investment manager is Franklin Templeton Fund Adviser, LLC.
