ESS Tech, Inc. is a provider of non-lithium energy storage solutions. Through sodium-ion and iron flow battery technologies, it uses predominantly earth-abundant materials to deliver energy storage. It manufactures and assembles battery modules, housings, energy management systems, and other key battery components. Its integrated energy storage solutions consist of Bridge, Horizon, and Command. Bridge is a modular integrated AC sodium-ion battery energy storage system designed for utilities, AI data centers, commercial and industrial facilities, and critical infrastructure. Horizon is an iron flow battery energy storage system. Command is an energy management platform designed to maximize the performance, availability and profitability of battery energy storage systems. The Company serves utilities, independent power producers, commercial, and industrial customers. Its non-lithium systems operate a range of temperatures without complicated HAVAC systems or complex liquid cooling.
