About GOSS
Gossamer Bio, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company, which is focused on the development and commercialization of seralutinib for the treatment of pulmonary hypertension (PH) including pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and PH associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD). The Company's lead product candidate is Seralutinib (GB002), is an investigational inhaled, small-molecule, platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR), colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF1R), and c-KIT inhibitor, being evaluated in a Phase III clinical trial for the treatment of PAH. Inhaled seralutinib, which is designed to act on both isoforms of the PDGFR. Seralutinib is designed to inhibit multiple kinases in the pathology of PAH. The PDGFR is a tyrosine kinase receptor which, when activated by its agonist, induces cellular proliferation. The c-KIT pathway was also identified as a factor involved in pulmonary vascular remodeling, particularly in the cells implicated in perivascular inflammation.
