Transferring your SMSF to Stake Super
- Start the digital process using the Stake Super online application and complete payment of the annual fee
- The Stake Super team will liaise with your previous SMSF accountant or provider to collect all necessary documentation or if you have them on hand you can load them directly through the Stake Super Hub. There will be documents for you to sign digitally to finalise the transfer of your SMSF to Stake Super
- You'll receive instructions on how to appoint Stake Super as your SMSF's tax agent
- If you don't have a Stake SMSF account already we'll create one for you once we've collected everything we need. We’ll set up your Stake Super account, which also acts as your SMSF bank account
Transferring your SMSF, Company or Trust account to a Stake account
- Download and sign up to Stake using the referral code: GOSTAKE
- Open your Stake app and tap ‘More’ on the bottom-right corner, then head to ‘Portfolio Transfers’ > ‘AUS Portfolio Transfer’ and follow the instructions
- Initiate a successful share transfer before Friday 7 March 2025

It’s easy to sign up for an SMSF, Company or Trust account on Stake. It should take less than ten minutes to start the process if you have the following information ready to go:
For setting up an SMSF, you'll need to provide:
- The ABN of your SMSF and details of the trustee company or individuals
- Personal details of the directors or individual trustees
- Electronic signatures from all required signatories
For Company accounts:
- The ABN or ACN of the company
- Personal details of the directors
- Electronic signatures from all required signatories
For Trust accounts:
- A fully executed and signed Trust deed (including any deed variations or amendments)
- The ABN and full name of the Trust
- The ACN and full name of the corporate trustee (if applicable)
- Trustee and beneficiary details
Please note that additional information may be requested by our onboarding team to successfully open a new account. This can be to satisfy regulatory requirements or relate to the specifics of the account in question. If you have any questions about our onboarding process, please contact our support team.
It only takes a few minutes to submit a share transfer request to Stake, then we do all the heavy lifting.
Once all necessary documents are submitted, stocks will typically reach your Stake HIN within 40 hours.
We do everything in our power to make the transfer as seamless as possible, however, there can be delays due to unforeseen circumstances that are beyond our control. We’ll keep you informed of any updates should there be cause for delay.
