Stake UK is looking for a dynamic marketing candidate to lead the company’s marketing initiatives in the UK and build a brand that aligns closely with the other regions. This role will work closely with, and report directly to the UK Country Manager.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Defining and implementing a medium term UK growth strategy including clear phases detailing initiatives and campaigns that need to be implemented to achieve growth targets.
  • Building out a 6-12 month marketing roadmap (inclusive of an EU rollout) based on knowledge of investing space in Europe, local cultural and consumer insights as well as an understanding of what has been successful and unsuccessful previously in Australia.
  • Managing and building an ambassador network.
  • Managing and building partner networks to drive growth. Inclusive of (but not limited to) content partnerships, customer acquisition partnerships, media partnerships, etc.
  • Directly liaising with media including (but not limited to) radio, OOH, print, etc. to negotiate and implement agreements on media purchasing.
  • Campaign ideation and implementation- think creatively on how we land important messages through campaigns that ladder up to the overall marketing strategy as well as brief content and other production partners.
  • Panel opportunities, speaker opportunities and media contributions.
  • Directly liaising with media including (but not limited to) radio, OOH, print, etc. to negotiate and implement agreements on media purchasing.
  • Be at the forefront of fintech developments and competitor landscape.
  • Once up to speed on the brand, the business and the category, the candidate should actively look for opportunities for Stake (primarily through themselves) to have a voice within the industry.
  • Build and engage communities of customers to create brand advocates
  • Genuine desire to challenge the status quo and constantly drive for personal and brand development.
  • Oversee relationships with all marketing suppliers, influencers and ambassadors. Maintain excellent records of tried and test marketing initiatives to ensure best use of company resources.
Skills Required
  • Hold a post-graduate degree, preferably a Masters or equivalent in the relevant field 
  • You have experience working in advertising or commercial design agencies 
  • 5+ years working in agency and brand marketing roles (agency and client-side)
  • Previous media or creative agency experience, ideally as an Account Director (or equivalent), demonstrating a high level of organisation, strategic thinking and campaign management skills.
  • Existing agency relationships in the UK
  • For the success of the role, basic finance skills would be essential to identify commercial opportunities.
  • Previous experience in a marketing role, ideally as a Brand Manager (or equivalent), demonstrating strong commercial capabilities and in depth knowledge of how to convert a brand positioning and strategy into real life campaigns.
  • Strong commercial ability, understanding of analytics and a natural ability to identify what customers want.
  • Someone who can understand the investment space emerging in the UK/EU specifically and integrate with broader cultural and consumer insights.
  • Social media content and community management experience.
  • Creative thinking and copywriting skills.
  • Experience using marketing analytics and automation tools (e.g. Google analytics, Branch metrics, Email publishing)
  • Proactive and ambitious mindset, ready to work on a number of interesting projects inside and outside of your core skill set.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced, exciting start-up environment. Being able to multitask, quickly execute and work across a number of projects.
  • Ability to work autonomously but also part of a team – specifically taking the lead on defining what needs to be done for growth in the UK and how it will get done.
  • The ability to think long and short-term. We need to both build a brand while also growing in the short-term rapidly. As such, you’ll need to wear lots of hats to identify initiatives that help us build over time and also those that help us grow overnight.
  • Self-starter who is comfortable to work in a small team locally but establish strong relationships with the wider team based in Australia and Brazil.
  • The ability to think long and short-term. We need to both build a brand while also growing in the short-term rapidly. As such, you’ll need to wear lots of hats to identify initiatives that help us build over time and also those that help us grow overnight.
  • Willingness to travel.
