Where is the Stake AUD Cash Held?
The Stake AUS balance allows you to keep AUD to use to invest. It is provided by Airwallex, as part of setting up a Stake account.
When you sign up with Stake, we may also seek your consent to open in your name an Airwallex Wallet. Airwallex services will be accessible through the Stake platform, including Services to hold your funds in Stake, Top Up and Collection Services to top up funds and receive proceeds and payments from Stake, and Payout Services to pay out funds from the account to a linked bank account or Stake.
Each AUS account has a BSB and Account Number to enable you to make deposits into your account.
All transactions from deposits, withdrawals, trade settlements, movement of cash, dividends, and corporate actions are recorded in the Stake AUD Funds & Balances. If you have settled funds available, you can also transfer from your AUD account to your Wall St account in USD.
When you set up your Stake account, the bank details are established by Airwallex for you after you agree to their terms and conditions. Click here to learn more about the Airwallex Wallet Terms.
Security of funds
The electronic funds held in your Stake AUS account (supported by Airwallex and in accordance with the requirements of an Australian governing body) are protected by a bank guarantee (Bank Guarantee) issued by an Australian authorised deposit-taking institution in favour of an external trustee who holds the benefit of the Bank Guranatee on trust for you. The independant trustee holds a bank guarantee for an amount equal to your account balance. Airwallex does not hold such funds as regulated client monies under the Corporations Act.
